Three years after the Belgrade Court of Appeal acquitted four former Serbian security officials in the 1999 murder of journalist Slavko Curuvija, Serbia’s Supreme Court ruled that the verdict violated the law. The ruling, issued in October 2025 but only recently made public, found legal errors in how the Court of Appeal handled witness testimony and evidence, including telephone records.
