Partners Albania Director to Co-Lead EU–Albania Civil Society Platform

In a milestone for Albania’s EU integration process, Juliana Hoxha, Director of Partners Albania for Change and Development, has been elected Co-Chair of the EU–Albania Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) for a three-year mandate. The JCC is a formal body established under the EU–Albania Stabilisation and Association Agreement and brings together representatives from Albanian civil society and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) to monitor and contribute to the country’s accession process. At its inaugural meeting held in Tirana, the committee adopted its rules of procedure, appointed permanent observers, and held strategic discussions on the state of EU–Albania relations. The meeting was attended by high-level officials, including Prime Minister Edi Rama, EESC President Oliver Röpke, EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato, and Chief Negotiator Majlinda Dhuka. The next JCC session is scheduled for Brussels, where the focus will shift to reforms under Cluster I “Fundamentals.” Read more here.
