From 21 to 27 September 2019, CSOs activists called all over the world on governments to guarantee the right to freedoms of expression, association, and assembly and to ensure inclusion and participation for all; freely in all levels of decision-making processes without fear of violence or intimidation. CSOs stood together with rising social movements, such as those led by women and young people to advocate for rights to voice, equality, climate and environmental justice and practical actions towards greater accountability and fairer implementation worldwide of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They also call states actors to commit to the reduction of military budgets to fund climate and environmental protection and fight against poverty, hunger and inequality. Read more here.
