Civil Society organizations in Serbia have launched an initiative requesting the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs to withdraw the existing Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Social Protection and to initiate new process of legislative changes, raising several concerns over human rights violation, undermining of interests of beneficiaries and inconsistencies with ratified international treaties, and lack of transparency and involvement of relevant actors including civil society organizations dealing with social protection issues. The Initiative, was originally launched by 11 civil society organizations so far is supported by 115 of CSOs from Serbia and you can read about it in more detail (in Serbian) here.
