Civic Initiatives’ Resource Center for Development of Civil Society, which has been providing information and organizing trainings and mentorships for civil society organizations (CSO), individuals and institutions for eighteen years now, has launched an innovative web platform to promote and encourage civil society development. It can be accessed at the following link: razvoj.gradjanske.org.
The web platform has been developed with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and contains, among other things, educational materials for organizations, activists and volunteers interested in learning more about how the civil sector functions on topics such as: civil society and why unions should be created, civic participation, writing project proposals, and public advocacy. The platform also contains short video clips which provide real life examples.
The Resource Center also provides information on the registration of citizens’ associations and changes, amendments and additions of new relevant legal documents, as well as techniques and tools for implementing public advocacy. This information is important for civil society organizations’ operations as well as for for potential domestic and foreign donors and potential partners at the local, regional and national level. The web platform also keeps users up-to-date about current competitions, trainings, conferences, seminars and other activities implemented by civil society organizations, citizens, donors and public institutions. All interested parties are encouraged to apply to take part in activities and trainings provided by Civic Initiatives’ Resource Center.
